Implementing a next-generation Nationalisation framework to drive performance and increase retention of Emiratis in your workforce

The high influx of foreign labour into the UAE has caused unemployment rates amongst Emiratis to soar. It is estimated that there are currently as many as 10 000 unemployed, a figure that is only set to rise over the next five years. To encourage Nationalisation the government has introduced labour laws making it compulsory for all businesses to increase their intake of Nationals.

However, qualified, skilled and experienced nationals are few, and often harder to attract into the private sector over the public who offer higher remuneration in exchange for shorter working hours. The 8th Emiratisation Congress will address the challenges in attracting qualified Nationals, encouraging a strong work ethic, and preventing loss of skilled Emiratis.
